Matt Rascon is a communications strategist, journalist, and filmmaker who helps leaders and organizations communicate in everyday moments and when stakes are high.

With nearly 15 years of experience in broadcast journalism, Matt brings a newsroom perspective to understanding how stories are framed, how messages are tested under pressure, and how perception is shaped in real time. His reporting and on-air work have earned multiple Emmy Awards and taken him across the country covering business, politics, crises, and complex public issues.

Today, Matt leads Rascon Media Group as Managing Director & Lead Strategist. He partners closely with organizations on ongoing strategic content, narrative development, and executive communication, helping shape how they are understood. His work also includes supporting people and organizations with powerful video storytelling.

In addition to his work with RMG, Matt serves as a Senior Counselor with Spoken Word Communications, where he delivers presentations, media, and crisis training. He has trained leadership teams in London, Guyana, and cities across the United States.

Matt lives in Houston with his wife, Marisa, and their five daughters.
